Special Events & New Programs on Exhibit Floor Add Excitement to 2005 PGA Fall Expo Attendee Pre-Registration Continues to Climb With 27% Increase

(August 23rd 2005) NORWALK, Conn. –The 2005 PGA Fall Expo, Sept. 28-29, features special events and new programs on the Las Vegas (Nev.) Convention Center floor to further engage thousands of attendees in the discovery of new equipment, apparel, accessories and services of more than 300 golf-related exhibitors. The enhanced Equipment Test Center & Putting Green, New Product Center, new Contest Corner and a Clubmaking & Repair School are fitting counterparts to the popular Demo Night and Education Conference.

The return of top exhibitors and ongoing investments in customer programs have resulted in a 27% increase in attendee pre-registration over last year. PGA Professionals, golf retailers and mass merchandisers have registered from all 50 U.S. states and 26 countries.

“With returning exhibitors such as Callaway, Nike Golf and Wilson, plus newcomers including Pride Sports/Softspikes, Puma, Pukka Headwear and Callaway Apparel – the exhibitor list is enticing. Improving floor programs and adding new special events are building blocks for not only a new level of excitement on the Show floor, but increased ways for exhibitors and attendees to interact,” said PGA Golf Exhibitions Vice President and Show Manager Ed Several. “PGA Professionals and golf buyers are responding, exhibitors are finding new ways to reach customers and we are eager to host a productive business gathering for the industry.”

The 2005 PGA Fall Expo ETC has sold out 17 hitting bays and increased the depth from 20 feet in 2004 to 96 feet in 2005, to help attendees experience better ball flight. In addition, to interactive product testing, the ETC also will feature manufacturer demonstrations. Nearby the ETC will be a 2,000 square-foot putting green. Hitting mats will be provided by Perfect Lie Golf and putting greens by Players Turf International.

Buyers looking for the latest equipment, apparel, training aids, tournament prizes and more will find a multitude of new products in one convenient setting within the New Product Center, sponsored by Putt Pal USA. The inaugural Contest Corner will feature ongoing contests and skill competitions culminating in a Grand Prize at the end of the Expo on Thursday. Prizes include four nights at the Peabody Hotel during the 2006 PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, Fla., two nights in a suite at the Hilton Grand Vacation Club (Vegas or Orlando), free rounds of golf at leading courses, golf equipment and more. Also, the Professional Clubmakers' Society (PCS) will offer a Clubmaking and Repair Skills Training School in Booth #956 where attendees will be familiarized with state-of-the-art clubmaking and repair skills.

Scheduled during a prime business cycle for thousands of influential PGA Professionals, golf retailers, manufacturers and industry leaders, the 2005 PGA Fall Expo will feature equipment, apparel, accessories and services of some 300 golf-related exhibitors within approximately 50,000 net square feet of exhibit space in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
