V-SOLE™ Wedges Garner Golf Tips’ 2005 Tech Award

(October 4th 2005) PORT O’CONNOR, Texas — An industry leader in Short Game Innovation, Eidolon Golf proudly announces that its V-SOLE™ wedges have received a 2005 Tech Award from the editors of Golf Tips Magazine. The highly-acclaimed V-SOLE wedges were recognized for their new technology and unique sole design which offers more spin, more control and extreme versatility.

Honoring the industry’s most innovative advances in equipment technology, the editors of Golf Tips wrote in
the Nov./Dec 2005 issue of Golf Tips that Eidolon wedges have “...an ingenious V-Sole design, which essentially is two soles in one. The rear of the sole features minimal bounce, but the leading edge has an aggressive slant upward which prevents the club from digging.”

“The V-SOLE wedges have received tremendous reviews this year, and we’re very happy to have the industry acclaim that comes from a Golf Tips Tech Award,” says Terry Koehler, president of Eidolon Golf and former co-owner of Reid Lockhart Golf Co. “Not only have V-SOLE wedges received stellar reviews from GolfGearReview.com and Golf Chicago Magazine in recent weeks, and a reader testing program with PGA TOUR Partners Magazine has just produced a 90 percent favorability ratings in the magazine’s history.”

Koehler explains that Eidolon’s premium V-SOLE® wedges represent the first genuine technological design advancement in wedges in more than 40 years, offering more spin, more control and extreme versatility and playability. With V-SOLE Technology on the leading edge of the wedge’s sole — about one-quarter of an inch — Eidolon wedges have an aggressive bounce (18 degrees bounce on the 52-degree lofted wedge, 30 degrees bounce on the 56 wedge, and 25 degrees of bounce on the 60-degree wedge) that ensures that the leading edge never digs into the turf. The primary rear portion of the sole features minimal bounce — three degrees on the 52 gap wedge, seven degrees on the 56 mid- wedge and six degrees on the 60 lob wedge.

In addition to its patented sole design, Eidolon painstakingly CNC-mills every individual groove and wedge face — a revolutionary extra step that goes far beyond most mass-produced wedges. The additional milling achieves nearly 100 percent of the groove specifications allowed by the U.S. Golf Association, as compared with as low as 60 to 70 percent groove measurements that are common to standard production wedges.

Eidolon Golf’s V-SOLE wedges are available in 52-degree, 56-degree and 60-degree RH and LH models for $129.00, and they are available with Rifle Spinner steel shafts as well as an all-new Rifle Graphite Spinner shaft, unique to Eidolon Golf. Eidolon V-SOLE wedges are sold exclusively through www.eidolongolf.com
