Ron Lewis named Director of Grounds at Cottonwood Hills Golf Club, Kansas(January 23, 2006) – Orlando, Florida – Marriott Golf, the world’s largest resort golf management company, today announced that Ron Lewis has been named the Director of Grounds at Cottonwood Hills Golf Club in Hutchinson, Kansas, a new 18-hole golf facility scheduled to open in the spring of 2006.
In this position, Lewis will be responsible for overseeing all grounds maintenance and operations at Cottonwood Hills. A state-of-the-art Nick Faldo designed golf facility, Cottonwood Hills will debut its first 9-holes in spring 2006, with the second 9 scheduled to open in June of 2006.
Lewis comes to Cottonwood Hills from Stone Mountain Golf Club, a 36-hole facility in Atlanta, Georgia, where he most recently served as Director of Grounds. During his tenure there, Stone Mountain received Marriott Golf’s honorary 2003 Financial Management Excellence Award and the 1998 Most Improved Golf Course Award. A 25-year veteran of Marriott, Lewis began his career at the Tan-Tar-A Golf Club in Osage Beach, Missouri.
