Pinnacle exceptional driver championship tees off today

Laughlin, NV USA, - Now that the world's longest driver for 2005 has been decided, it is time to crown golf's most exceptional driver at the inaugural Pinnacle Exceptional Driver Championship to be contested at the magnificent new Laughlin Ranch Golf Club in Laughlin, Nev. beginning today. The champion will be crowned on Saturday.

The Pinnacle Exceptional Driver Championship is a grass roots event that
will determine the most exceptional amateur driver of the golf ball. Local
qualifying began in March, with 128 contests conducted throughout the year
across the United States and Canada and culminating with this week's
Pinnacle Exceptional Driver Championship.

The PEDC finals will be aired on ESPN with one hour tape delayed broadcasts
scheduled for Friday, November 25 at 3:30 EST (ESPN2) and Sunday, November
27 at 2:30 EST(ESPN).

The event, open to any amateur golfer - male, female, adult or junior, all
competing in the same open division - rewards both length and accuracy off
the tee. Competitors attain points by driving Pinnacle Exception golf balls
into the championship grid. The competitor who amasses the highest point
total wins. Winners of the local qualifying events advanced directly to
the Pinnacle Exceptional Driver Championship finals.

WHAT'S AT STAKE:

The winner of the 2005 Pinnacle Exceptional Driver
Championship receives $50,000 and a convertible Honda S2000 automobile. In addition, the PEDC champion earns the status as "golf's most exceptional driver." The 2005 PEDC North American runner-up will receive $22,000. Prize money earned by other top finishers at the 2005 PEDC finals will be as follows:

3rd - $12,000
4th - $6,000
5th - $4,000
6th - $3,000
7th - $2,000
8th - $1,000
