PeakVision Sports Introduces DL6

High-Performance Model Features Aggressive, Sport Design and Wrap Frame

(March 28th 2006)(OVERLAND PARK, Kan.) – PeakVision Sports, makers of the patented Dual-Zone lens sunglasses designed specifically for golfers, today announces the introduction of its DL6 model, the third new eyewear product unveiled in 2006 by the high-performance optic maker.

DL6 features an aggressive-wrap frame made from TR-90 Grilamid for lightweight durability and comfort. With maximum lens wrap and coverage, DL6’s sculpted temple profile is engineered to fit narrow to average-width faces, weighs just 28 grams and holds firm during even the most aggressive physical activity.

DL6 features include:

Aggressive “sport” styling fashionable on or off the golf course
Solid construction with a superior fit for executing golf shots
Tactile grip nose bridge pads for optimum placement
Rubberized comfort temple ends for comfort and grip
Durable, flexible hi-tech graphite finish with raised PeakVision logo

MSRP $169

DL6 features the company’s patented, Dual-Zone lenses found in PeakVision’s other eight models (Classic, Chip, Edge, GR4, Neva, Shot, Slam and Spin). The neutral-density gray upper zone manages bright sun and sky, filtering and protecting against harmful UVA and UVB rays. The spectrally-tuned amber lower zone highlights contours on greens and other course features, providing golfers with an unprecedented amount of information about the playing surface.

“The new DL6 frame has an aggressive sport design that will appeal especially to young, athletic golfers, and in focus groups, ‘mature’ players have chosen it as one their favorite models,” says PeakVision Sports CEO and founder Paul Moore. “The large lens coverage area provides maximum protection from dust, sand, pollen and of course, ultraviolet radiation. The sculpted temple profile narrowly contours the head for comfortable grip and stability.”

Players and caddies on the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours were seeded with DL6 models for purposes of gleaning feedback from the world’s best players and those responsible for reading greens with players’ livelihoods on the line. The response was overwhelmingly positive and Dual – like other PeakVision models -- was rapidly adopted on all three tours.

This is evidenced by PeakVision’s “See Better, Play Better” competitive advantage, enjoyed by PGA TOUR players Billy Andrade and Scott McCarron, Champions Tour legend Bruce Fleisher, golf “color” commentator David Feherty, and LPGA Tour players Moira Dunn, Mikaela Parmlid, Beth Bader, Jean Bartholomew, Becky Morgan and Heather Young. These highly competitive golfers and hundreds of other caddies and weekend warriors have unequivocally embraced PeakVision Sports sunglasses as a valuable component in their equipment arsenal.

“PeakVision Sports is affecting a paradigm shift in which sunglasses are no longer viewed as a fashion accessory, but as an essential piece of equipment, no less important than a putter, driver or wedge,” adds Moore.

PeakVision Sports eyewear is featured on The Big Break V: Hawaii, currently airing on The Golf Channel. The full slate of PeakVision sunglasses were provided to the cast of all-female contestants, as well as show hosts Vince Cellini, Stephanie Sparks and the entire production crew -- featured wearing “Peaks” during episodes of “Big Break V All-Access,” the behind the scenes show.

In addition to golfers performing at higher levels wearing PeakVision sunglasses, they are also popular among skiers, professional baseball umpires and pilots.
