Lamkin Grips Win Samsung World Championship(October 17th 2005) SAN DIEGO, Calf. — One of the longest courses on the LPGA Tour, the demanding Canyons Course at Bighorn Golf Club played intensely tougher than expected at this weekend's Samsung World Championship. However, this year’s Swedish-born champion used Lamkin Crossline grips to keep a firm hold on the lead and outperform the competition. The victory was her eighth win of the 2005 LPGA season. Meanwhile on the PGA Tour, Lamkin also claimed second-place at the Michelin Championship at Las Vegas. The runner-up after sudden death played a Lamkin Classic Half Cord grip. “The Samsung World Championship was a great win, and we’re very excited that players on all the pro tours trust Lamkin grips to deliver the performance they need shot after shot,” says Bob Lamkin, president and CEO of Lamkin Corp. “Greater stability, traction and comfort lead to greater performance and confidence, and Lamkin has produced the most technologically advanced grips in golf for more than 80 years.” One of the best-selling grips in the world, the Lamkin Crossline has already earned dozens of wins this year with innovative engineering that provides a distinctively soft feel and added traction. The Crossline was designed to reduce torque and increase hand traction, and is available in a variety of models, including lite, full cord, mid-size, logo-down, ladies and junior. The newest model, the Dual Density Crossline features an outer layer of soft material with the renowned Crossline pattern and a firm underlisting that enhances stability and reduces torques for consistent hand pressure throughout the swing.
