HERITAGE WINNER RELIES ON PRO V1 GOLF BALL, CAMERON PUTTER IN FIRST CAREER VICTORY

(April 17, 2006) Fairhaven, MA - Rallying with back nine birdies on two of Harbour Town Golf Links most difficult holes, the winner of the Verizon Heritage relied upon the Titleist Pro V1 golf ball and Scotty Cameron by Titleist Newport putter en route to his first career PGA Tour victory.

The champion finished at 15-under, one stroke ahead of the runner-up, and topped a leaderboard that included 8 Titleist golf ball players among the top 10 finishers.

Titleist full-line staff player Billy Mayfair (Pro V1x, Pro Titanium 905R driver, Pro Trajectory 904F 3-and 5-woods, Forged 804 OS irons, Vokey Design sand and lob wedges) and Vaughn Taylor (Pro V1) tied for third. Taylor, the first round leader, posted the best round of the final day, a 5-under-par 66.

Overall, Titleist was the most played golf ball at the Verizon Heritage with 98 players, more than eight times the nearest competitor with 12. Titleist was also the most played wedge (127 vs. 87) and putter (44 vs. 28) at the tournament.

The Verizon Heritage marks the 8th victory by a Titleist golf ball player on the 2006 PGA Tour, twice the nearest competitor with 4.

It was the 9th victory by a player trusting a Scotty Cameron by Titleist putter on the 2006 PGA Tour, more than four times the nearest competitor with 2. This week's winner became the first player to require less than 100 putts in a 2006 PGA TOUR event, needing only 97 and leading the field in putting average.

PGA EUROPEAN TOUR: Pro V1x player Jeev Milkha Singh carded a final round 70 for a one shot victory at the Volvo China Open in Beijing. He finished at 10-under 278 to lead a Titleist 1-2-3 sweep, edging Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano (Pro V1), and third round leader David Lynn (Pro V1), who placed third two strokes back.

Titleist golf ball players accounted for an overwhelming 84 percent of the field at the Volvo China Open with 131, over 10 times the nearest competitor with 12. Singh's victory is the 12th for Titleist players on the PGA European Tour, six times the nearest competitor with 2.
