Etonic Introduces Two High Performance Shoes Featuring Gore-Tex for 2006

Difference 3Z and ST-GT are designed for the serious golfer

The Difference 3Z, a shoe engineered for better players, offers three technical zones which feature the ultimate in outsole performance, comfort and fit. The new ST-GT gives golfers all the benefits of stabilizer technology plus added comfort benefits with the new Ergo-Fit comfort system and the waterproof breathability system by Gore-Tex™.

Difference 3Z


In 1996, Etonic revolutionized the golf shoe industry with the introduction of the first spikeless golf shoe called the Difference. Now, Etonic offers a technologically advanced version of the Difference for the player called Difference 3Z. The 3Z stands for three performance zones.

Zone 1: Outsole Platform

3Z Stabilizer — The biomechanically designed stability system provides a stable, firm yet flexible platform that better players demand. The durable TPU pods enhance lateral stability while the phylon midsole supports and cushions the foot.
Flex Grooves— The deep flex grooves are placed in the forefoot and provide increased flexibility and comfort.
Tri-Directional Pyramid Turf Grips— The grips are used on the outsole for greater balance and stability on different types of terrain.
Dynamic Stabilizer Cleat— The 18 anti-clog comfort cleats features a dual density design for exceptional traction and durability.
Fast Twist Receptacle System— This lightweight system makes cleat replacement easy.

Zone 2: Comfortable Upper

Gore-Tex— The world’s premier waterproof breathable system ensures remarkable quality and dry comfortable feet. Etonic provides a two-year waterproof warranty.
Full Grain Leather— A soft waterproof leather delivers comfort and style
Leather Linings— Glove leather combines with Gore-Tex™ moisture wicking linings to provide a more breathable and softer upper.

Zone 3: In Shoe Technology

Ergo-Fit Comfort System— The system is engineered to provide golfers with an anatomically improved fit by molding the footbed, insole and midsole to each last resulting in a more stable and comfortable fit.
Bi-Fit Insole— This lightweight, dual density insole is firmer in the heel for rear foot stability but flexible in the forepart for walking comfort. For extra comfort and rebound, Etonic’s cushion suspension™ foam covers the entire insole.
Removable Polyurethane Footbed— The pre-molded sockliner provides extra cushion and absorbs shock.

The Difference 3Z is available for men in two styles: classic saddle with 2 colorways or a striped pattern with 3 colorways. The suggested retail is $179.00 and will be at retail for Holiday 2005.

ST-GT

The ST-GT combines a superior outsole featuring Etonic’s biomechanically designed Stabilizer Technology™ with the premier waterproof system, Gore-Tex®, to give the serious golfer a performance shoe that will enhance their overall playing experience.

Outsole Technology:

The new ST-GT is built on Etonic’s renowned Stabilizer Technology outsole platform featuring pyramid turf grips, a flared heel and a wider platform that provides a solid foundation for the golfer.
The Tri-Density Flex System combines phylon/ESS arch and rubber outsole for maximum support, better durability and flexible comfort.
The translucent Stabilizer™ cleat is designed for exceptional comfort, traction and durability. The lightweight Fast Twist™ receptacle system makes cleat replacement a snap.

Upper Comfort:

Gore-Tex™, the world’s leading waterproof system, guarantees golfers feet will stay dry and comfortable throughout the round. Etonic backs it up with a two-year waterproof warranty.
The soft full grain leather uppers combine with Gore-Tex moisture wicking linings for superior protection and maximum breathability.

In Shoe Technology:

The ST-GT also features the new Ergo-Fit System that builds the last to resemble the foot and molds the footbed, insole, and midsole to each last resulting in a more stable, comfortable fit.
The Bi-Fit insole combines a firmer heel for rear foot stability with a flexible forepart for walking comfort. Additionally, a removable polyurethane footbed provides extra cushion and absorbs shock for longwearing comfort.

The ST-GT is available in two styles for men: a sleek saddle with two colorways and a sporty style with three colorways. The suggested retail is $139.00 and will be available mid-October.
