EXCEL GOLF TEE KEEPS UP WITH ZERO FRICTION INCREASING PRODUCT DEMAND BY OPENING NEW SHIPPING FACILITY
(January 10th 2006) ITASCA, IL. – Excel Golf Tee Inc., the parent company of the “hottest tee on the PGA Tour – Zero Friction Golf Tee,” is absolutely on fire, according to Mike Herron, the company's Business Development Manager. And, to meet the ever growing consumer demand of the Zero Friction Golf Tee line the company is opening a new distribution center in High Point, NC.
The High Point facility, which is scheduled to open Feb. 1, is Excel's third distribution center, joining other similar centers in Corona, CA. and at the company's corporate headquarters in Itasca, IL. It increases Excel's ability to deliver product quicker and easier to all points in the continental United States.
Our business is skyrocketing and this greatly speeds up distribution. It means that we're two days away from the majority of the country, including all major golf markets, says Herron. It gives us a guaranteed two days to deliver product to Florida and it gives us one day to the Carolinas, both of which are huge golf markets. It helps us service the East Coast customers better.
The High Point facility will be a state-of-the art distribution center. It will have sophisticated shipping abilities as Excel's other two centers, including handling such functions as drop shipping and pallet shipping, or full container loads. Excel’s full line of premium wood golf tees will be shipping from this location, as well as the Zero Friction Golf Tee line.
Excel’s fast growing line of Zero Friction Tees can be seen at the PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando from January 26-29 in the Orange County Convention Center at Booth No. 6812. The company will be introducing three new tees at the show, including its new Zero Friction Hardwood Golf Tees, feature a hitting surface that's 30 percent smaller than conventional golf tees, and a new 3 ¼-inch Zero Friction tee with its revolutionary three-pronged teeing system.
The Zero Friction tee provides less resistance between the golf ball and the golf tee for longer, straighter drives. Its reduced spin rate fights dispersion, thereby keeping the ball on line and in the fairway.
Long hitters have shown their preference for the Zero Friction Golf Tee, as evidenced by the fact that it's the Official Golf Tee of the Long Drivers of America Association and the Exclusive Golf Tee of the RE/MAX World Long Drive Championship.
