CLUB CAR WINS PRESTIGIOUS NEW NATIONAL ACCOUNT(September 7th 2005) Club Car signs new 6-year supplier agreement with Club Car, recognised industry leaders in golf & utility vehicle efficiency, design and performance has won a new National Account contract to become the exclusive supplier of golf & utility vehicles to Woburn Golf and Country Club. Winning this account is extremely significant for Club Car as not only is it a 6-year deal, but it was previously held by one of the company’s competitors. Furthermore, Woburn has also made the switch from Petrol to Electric golf cars. Eddie Bullock, Managing Director of Woburn Golf and Country Club <pictured> was instrumental in bringing Club Car on board as he is keen to ensure that they work with the best companies in the business, and is delighted with the new long-term partnership with Club Car. Although the quality of the product was an important consideration, the high standard of Club Car’s after sales service was equally important in making their final decision as Eddie explains, “At Woburn we pride ourselves on working with the very best suppliers, and firmly believe that Club Car provides the premium product in the golf car market. The partnership with Club Car is just one example of our ongoing commitment to providing members and guests with the very best possible golf experience.” Woburn has taken on a Club Car fleet of 53 red Precedent golf cars, the bonnets of which have all been customised with the club’s name and crest. Club Car has also supplied a Café Express vehicle, which will provide a lucrative additional income for the club. Kevin Hart, National Account Manager for Europe, The Middle East & Africa, sees this as just the beginning, “Club Car is delighted and honoured to be associated with Woburn Golf and Country Club, and I feel that the length and nature of the agreement reflect the strength of the relationship between the two companies.” Local support for the agreement will be provided by one of Club Car’s main distributors, A.T. Oliver & Sons Limited. A.T. Oliver & Sons has a long history with Woburn as Charlie Glenister, Groundcare Machinery Director explains, “we are pleased to be working with Woburn again and to support Club Car. We have installed all the vehicles and will continue to offer after-sales support for any service or damage issues for the length of the agreement.”
