Ben Sutton Golf School Adds to Respected Staff of PGA Instructors

Nation’s Longest Running Golf School Positioned for Growth in 2006

(SUN CITY CENTER, Fla.) – Ben Sutton Golf School, the nation’s longest-running, largest golf instruction destination located between Tampa and Sarasota, today announces the addition of two veteran instructors – Bob Woodfin and Chris Ayles -- to its respected staff of Class ‘A’ PGA teaching professionals.

Woodfin and Ayles will fill valuable instructional roles as the venerable golf school continues to expand its curriculum and geographical reach. To complement its Sun City Center location, Ben Sutton Golf School recently announced the addition of a new northeastern campus at the Windham House Resort in Windham, New York. Located just three hours north of New York City, the Windham House Campus is scheduled to open in April.

A graduate of the University of Alabama and four-year letterman on the men’s golf team, Woodfin enjoyed a brief stint on the PGA Tour before assuming the position of teaching professional at the Acacia Country Club in Lyndhurst, Ohio. Prior to joining Ben Sutton Golf School, he was the director of golf operations and head teaching professional at the Trumbull Country Club in Warren, Ohio, for 33 years.

Ayles embarks on his second tenure with the Ben Sutton Golf School, having served as a senior instructor at the Sun City Campus from 1996-1997. A standout high-school golfer in Michigan, he turned professional at 18 and played on various tours throughout Florida. Following a 14-year career with the St. Joe Company, Ayles was the head professional at Winding Hollow Country Club in Columbus. He has bought and sold a handful of golf courses and continues to be a strong player in the North Florida Section of the PGA of America.

“Bob and Chris bring a tremendous amount of experience to our instructional staff and will be key in enabling us to meet our projected 2006 demand and goals,” says Dick Sutton, President of Ben Sutton Golf School. “Both gentlemen possess a deep and unique understanding of the golf swing and the game’s fundamentals, and how to articulate that knowledge to students.”

For over 35 years, Ben Sutton Golf School has attracted students from population centers throughout the northeastern U.S. and around the world to its original location in Sun City Center, Florida, centrally located between Tampa and Sarasota. Prospective and returning students will be able to choose between two fully-equipped instructional facilities depending on their travel, climate and golf preferences.

About Ben Sutton Golf School

Ben Sutton Golf School was founded in 1969 to provide students of all ages and abilities with the highest quality teaching professionals, equipment, and facilities in order to reach their full potential. Recognized as the only true-destination golf school in America, tens of thousands of golfers from all reaches of the U.S. and around the world – including heads of states, royalty and dignitaries; professional athletes; Tour players; movie, music and TV stars; politicians; corporate executives and entrepreneurs – have learned under the school’s real conditions.

Ben Sutton is the only golf school in the world where “instruction is the focus of the entire facility” – not on the fringe of it. Male and female students of all ages and abilities “learn golf where they play golf” at the school’s own 50-acre, nine-hole, configure-as-you-like-it practice facility designed for optimal learning. Support instruction areas include a Short Game Center, 12,000-square-foot putting and chipping green and V-1 Digital swing analysis studios and Callaway Golf Custom Fitting Center. Students learn in actual playing conditions and situations, hitting real shots, from real tees, fairways, rough and bunkers, over and around water to real greens.

State-of-the-art technology is incorporated into one-on-one learning sessions, which emphasize course management, situational thinking, swing analysis and strategy (working within golfers’ different physical specifications), and training. All instructors are PGA and LPGA accredited, priding themselves in mastering not only golf’s subject matter but clearly communicating it to students in ways that are easy to understand and remember.

Three-, five- and seven-day sessions (14, 23 and 36 hours of instruction, respectively) boast an impressive 5-to-1 student-to-instructor ratio, are conducted all year long at the Sun City Center location and from April through mid-October at the Windham House location. Programs start at $955 at Sun City Center and $995 at Windham House. Tuition includes lodging, meals, cocktail hours, instructional materials, personalized DVD and ground transportation.
